Dr. Ellis masterfully employs various evidence-based practices like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, adapting the approach to suit your individual needs. She offers thorough psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, covering general psychological diagnostic evaluations, psychoeducation evaluations, ADHD evaluations, PTSD and trauma evaluations, and Autism Spectrum evaluations.

Dr. Ellis’s educational journey began with a B.A in Psychology from The University of Tennessee, followed by an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University, and culminated in a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The University of Georgia. Her experience includes being a Mental Health Case Manager, a Clinical Psychology Intern, a trained provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and an Adjunct Instructor and Guest Lecturer.

Dr. Ellis has her passions outside the office. She loves the outdoors, practicing yoga, listening to a wide array of music, from the edgy tunes of Rage Against the Machine to the soulful melodies of Bob Marley, and the tranquil notes of Chet Faker. She’s a fan of shows like Brooklyn 99 and Ted Lasso, and films like Life is Beautiful and Star Wars. Dr. Ellis’s reading list reflects her profound nature, with books like “A Thousand Splendid Suns” and “Man’s Search for Meaning”. And of course, there’s her orange cat, adding some playfulness and warmth to her life.
