Each person carries their own unique perspectives, thoughts, and feelings—sometimes creating a web that can feel confusing or overwhelming. Dr. Olivia Pyle is passionate about partnering with individuals and families to identify strengths, overcome challenges, and gently untangle that web together. At Southeast Psych, Dr. Pyle is excited to offer both assessment and therapy services.

Dr. Pyle provides psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in assessing behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns, taking a whole-person approach that integrates cognitive, emotional, behavioral, academic, and environmental factors. Her goal is to bring clarity and insight to clients and families so they can better understand themselves and identify meaningful, practical next steps.

In therapy, Dr. Pyle enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and athletes, drawing primarily from cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to support growth, resilience, and positive change. While she works with a wide range of clients, she especially values walking alongside teenage and young adult females as they navigate life stressors, sports performance, anxiety, and executive functioning challenges.

Dr. Pyle earned her bachelor’s degree from Union University in Jackson, TN, and completed her PhD in Psychology at the University of South Carolina before returning to Tennessee. She completed her predoctoral internship with Richland School District Two in Columbia, SC, where she worked with children and adolescents ages 2–18. During her graduate training, she gained broad experience across private practice, public schools, and collegiate athletics. As part of the South Carolina Gamecock Mental Health and Performance Team, she contributed to substance-use psychoeducation programming, pre-performance screenings, performance workshops, and assessments for learning challenges and neurodevelopmental differences.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pyle enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, Crew and Queenie—often while watching tennis, football, or soccer. She also loves staying active and unwinding with a good book.
